This was a mixed format project between HD (DVCPRO HD 720p60) and SD (DVCPRO
720x486). The final product was to be used on a website, but not before it
would be seen projected 40 feet wide at an IMAX theater. Obviously combining
the two formats wouldn't be a big deal for the web, but with SD being scaled
at 150% to fit the height of HD and then to blow it up even more seemed like
a problem for quality.
Another problem was art direction with the two formats, 4x3 vs. 16x9. In the
end we left the SD at 100% scaled and cropped a few HD shots to match.
All in all I think it was a good solution and the client was very happy.
Two
Way Direct - Phase 2: started out with nothing more than an idea for a better
way for companies to purchase two-way radios. The client wanted be able to
let
users
shop on the site and create estimates, without needing to check out completely.
We were able to design a databasing system that will let a user store an estimate and create a username and password for retrieval later. This allows an assistant to go through the system and determine the various needs of the company, create an estimate and send it on to a manager for approval and purchase.
This site is built in PHP, with a MYSQL database driving the content. It features hundreds of products and dynamic detail pages.
